Hi~

My oldest daughter's 14th Birthday is coming up on December 6th. I wanted to share the Poncho & matching Bag that I made her. She has seen the bag ( which I will fill little surprises, like make-up, etc. to give to her), but she has not see the poncho. The bag I made as I went along. There is no pattern for it ( I didn't write it down). The poncho I started out using a pattern, but at the end I didn't like how it was being finished off so I altered the last 10 or 12 rows. The Poncho & Bag both have a red/cranberry yarn with metallic thread running through the yarn. The Bag on the other hand also has 3 different black yarns in it. A black rug yarn, a black chenille yarn & a black crocheting thread ( to give the handle sturdiness, & so that the handle would not stretch out). The bag is fully lined & has three pockets inside of it.

I will post a picture of my daughter wearing the Poncho next week, after her birthday.

Greetings to All!

I've been very busy with the Holiday cooking & all. I finally got a couple of throw rugs crocheted for my bathroom. I also made a toilet seat cover. I made them as I went along (no patterns). The seat cover took a little more time, as I didn't have a pattern for it, & I had to shape it to fit the seat. The throw rugs were easy, an oval/rectangular shape. Here are some pictures:

SiLvia's Thanksgiving Apple Bread Pudding

This Recipe was Created & Copyrighted on 11/23/05 By

For My Friends & Family. Hope you all love this one. SiL

8 to 10 apples, peeled & sliced up.
2 large eggs.
1 tablespoon of ground cinnamon ( yes a whole tablespoon, but you may adjust to taste).
1 can of Sweetened condensed milk
1 ~ 12 oz can of Evaporated Milk
1 & 1/2 cups of Milk ( Regular or 2%)
1/2 cup sugar
1 & 1/2 cup brown sugar ( separate these into 1 cup & one 1/2 cup; the 1 cup is for cooking the apples in, the 1/2 cup is for sprinkling on the pudding once you pull it out of the oven).

1 non-stick Big pan at least 9 X 13 inches. You want to use the left over bread you have, that has become a little harden, but you can use fresh too if you like. Shred the bread up with your hands to fill the non-stick pan up to the top, then sprinkle the tablespoon of cinnamon right on top of the shredded bread ( you will mix it up later).

Like this:

After it is all shredded up. Mix together the 2 eggs, the can of evaporated milk, the sweetened condensed milk, & the regular milk along with the 1/2 cup of regular (white ) sugar. Pour all this on to the shredded bread & mix it all up.

Then you want to put all the apples along with about 2 table spoons of water & the 1 cup of brown sugar in a sauce pan & heat it all up until the sugar has melted & but do not leave on the heat too long, (you want apple pieces, not applesauce). Once this is done spoon it all on to the bread mixture & even spread the apples & the liquid from cooking the apples all over the bread, and mix it all up.

Then mix up the apples with the bread mixture.

Then you pop it into the oven at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

Then Sprinkle the top with the 1/2 cup of Brown sugar you had set aside:

If you cover it the heat from the bread pudding will melt the sugar down for you. Or you can just cut into squares & serve after it cools off some. It tastes good cold too. I just got rave review from my tasting crew ( Hubby & Kids love it, & the dogs are begging for some too! LOL).

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL!
